What happened
On September 28, 2026, Hugging Face said its Hub now has a dedicated spot for RL Environments. Any dataset labeled rl-environment shows up under a new RL Environments filter, no matter which framework it uses; listed frameworks include Harbor, Verifiers, OpenEnv and NeMo Gym. The company stated that no new repository type, registry, or sign-up is needed.
Why it matters
People can locate RL environment datasets through the filter at huggingface.co/datasets?other=rl-environment, and multiple framework labels may be attached to a single dataset. Applying the tag won't launch a job or sandbox.
