What the Context engineering skill does

The assistant can establish rules files and project context that carry over between sessions, and pull in only the spec sections tied to a given feature. Typical triggers include launching a fresh session, noticing that the agent's results are getting worse, moving to a different task, or setting up rules files for a project. The skill also addresses keeping context volume under control and picking appropriate moments to begin a clean session.

What it covers

  • Creating persistent rules files such as CLAUDE.md
  • Managing context budget and trimming at 75% capacity
