What the MCP builder skill does

The skill gives an AI assistant guidance for creating MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers, which let LLMs work with external services through defined tools. It is used when building MCP servers to connect external APIs or services, in either Python with FastMCP or Node/TypeScript with the MCP SDK.

What it covers

Recommended TypeScript stack with Streamable HTTP for remote servers and stdio for local servers
Building and testing servers with MCP Inspector
Creating evaluation questions to test how well LLMs use the server
