What the Test-driven development (Superpowers) skill does

The assistant takes a test-first route, beginning with a test that fails and then adding just enough code to get it passing. When a bug is reported, it can recreate that bug through a failing test, and it can consult a reference on writing solid tests whenever tests are being modified. Verification checks are run before work is declared finished. This approach applies to every new feature or bug repair and is intended to happen ahead of writing implementation code.

What it covers

  • Guidance on writing good, honest tests
  • Bug fix workflow starting with a reproducing test
