ThinkTerm

ThinkTerm is a free, open-source terminal with a built-in multiplexer for running and monitoring many agent sessions.

What ThinkTerm does

It is a terminal with a multiplexer built in, so sessions can be run and managed in one place. Sessions stay on the server, so a person can reconnect from another machine and find their panes where they left them. It shows the status of several coding agents across multiple servers in a single sidebar.

Key features

  • Sidebar showing agents across multiple servers with working, idle, or needs-input status
  • Live overview of sessions on one screen
  • Splits, nested tabs, and a file sidebar in the main window
  • Sessions held by the server so they survive reconnects
  • Native settings panel for theme, fonts, renderer and diagnostics
  • GPU rendering through wgpu with a native Rust core
  • Lua-based configuration with WezTerm compatibility import

Pros

Pros

  • Available at no cost and open source.
  • Sessions persist on the server and can be resumed after reconnecting.
  • Built on the WezTerm core, so existing WezTerm features carry over.
